Check out the story mode conversations, and some more stuff.

Also, everyone should be sure to join the poppenkast forums for exclusive testing material, cheats, and just plain fun. If you post here that you have joined, I will give you one free popma!

Poppenkast news?
Soon, there will be a very cool pack released. It has something to do with collaboration, and time limits.

Other news?
I'm going to buy slordig.com and turn it into my website somewhere in the future. Well actually, Tim (aka escapader) is going to buy it for me. I owe him, he is awesome, and I love him. <3 Tim if you read this.

What next?
Now I plan on making small games for a while, and perhaps, realy perhaps, another exploration game. Or Boom Manhattan.

Elloweener

No more BM for the next 2 weeks. I'm working on a fun little halloween game.

You get to choose a character and shoot monsters. Loads of monsters. Kinda like archer, but different and better. It also has a nice surface system that makes blood and dead enemies stay in the room.

here

Every character has different stats and a special of his own.
Selection screen:

click

There will probably be over 20 characters, most of them unlockable by getting ridiculous scores, or playing the game for too long.
Expect a normal arcade mode, but also a story mode. D:
In story mode you can shoot bosses and actually beat the final bad guy. Prolly the devil or something. Or zombie jesus.

Spicy BM fact:

There are 2 killbots sent to annihilate anything in the complex. Including you.

Another short message.

The forums now have a BM board. Feel free to start any topics.

Next week you'll get to compare BM to BNY.

BM

Boom Manhattan, that's the working title. I can't call it BNY, or BNY 2, so BM is a good name for now.

Haven't been able to do too much, but there has been some progress made.

The player now has a weapon: the flare gun.
This nuclear powered thingey is usefull, since it has infinite ammo, and hurts when you get shot by it. It's weak, so people will be forced to use their other weapons if they want to complete the game.

The enemy basics are done, and I've recreated the "wombats"as I call them, and the eyeballs. There also is one new enemy: The armadillo. It walks real slow, but sometimes rolls itself up and likes bouncing around real fast.

Oh, and every blog I will give out one spicy fact about the game.

SPICY FACT: You'll start naked in this game.

Okay, seeya later and keep checking my blog everyone!

BOOM UPDATE

Yes, suddenly out of nothing, another update.

Recently I found the story of an old project of mine. Since the story is awesome, but the game was flawed, the game will be remade.

Boom New York was a platform shooter without mouse aiming, with simple animal enemies, and some nice weapons. You can find the final demo of it before it got cancelled here.

You can download the awesome story here. You might consider it a small spoiler, allthough reading it won't be such a big deal. Keep in mind that it is a rough version and that I just wrote it down for myself as a reminder.

Well, then because you're asking for it, I will show you some of the sprites that I've doodled up for BNY remake, a.k.a. Boom Manhattan.

And finally: Here is a screenshot of the programming I have done so far.

You can see the beautiful tiles I have spent hours on, and further I have created the basic platform movement + jump trough walls. The character is already totally animated.

Expect more explosive BNY news perhaps this weekend? :)
